Cicloson Nasal Spray
Inhalation/Respiratory:
Asthma:
Adult: 160 mcg as a single or in 2 divided doses daily, may be reduced to 80 mcg once daily for maintenance. If necessary, may increase up to 320 mcg bid in severe asthma.
Child: 12-17 yr Same as adult dose.
Nasal:
Allergic rhinitis:
Adult: Perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis: 200 mcg daily, given as 2 sprays in each nostril once daily.
Child: Perennial allergic rhinitis: ≥12 yr Same as adult dose. Seasonal allergic rhinitis: ≥6 yr Same as adult dose.
Cicloson nasal spray is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory activity. It is an aqueous suspension of ciclesonide for topical administration to the nasal mucosa by means of a metering and atomizing spray pump. It is necessary to prime the pump before first use or after a period of non-use (4 days or more).
